Ladies and gentlemen, friends: Good morning. Today, we hold the Fourth International Retailers’ Sourcing Fair. On behalf of the Ministry of Commerce, I would like to congratulate on the opening of the Fair, and extend my warm welcome and sincere thanks to all the friends from home and abroad. The world economy affected by the global financial crisis is now showing signs of bottoming out. Confidence of business players begins to recover, but there are still a lot of uncertainties. In this context, it is of special significance to hold the fourth IRSF which serves as a platform on which manufacturers and retailers can join efforts to tide over the difficulties, develop retail business, explore new markets, and stimulate consumption. The “Export-for-Domestic-Sale Business Matchmaking Symposium” and the “Export Commodity Roadshow” are new events at the 4th IRSF, and foreign trade and domestic trade going together is a highlight of the fair. We believe the 4th IRSF will further deepen cooperation between retailers and domestic manufacturers, and serve the multiple purposes that manufacturers win market, retailers earn profit, and consumers gain real benefit. We hope that the three-day Fair can be rewarding so that participants will all leave with fruitful results. Seven years ago, the first IRSF was held shortly after China’s access to the World Trade Organization, which incepted the global sales of made-in-china product. Up to now, three sessions of the Fair have been held and become an important platform for efficient and low-cost business matchmaking between retailers and manufacturers at home and abroad. IRSF has played a positive role in strengthening exchanges and cooperation between domestic and overseas enterprises, expanding consumer’s demand, and improving the competitiveness of made-in-china products in international market. Finally, I’d like to wish the fourth IRSF a great success! Thank you all. |
