 The 6th China-ASEAN Expo opened on October 20th in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. Chinese Commerce Minister Chen Deming attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Chen Deming said that, China and ASEAN are good friends, good neighbors and good partners. In recent years, China-ASEAN trade and economic relations is in constant progress. We join our efforts in setting up China-ASEAN Expo platform to bring trade facilitation to the people and enterprises in the region and to promote the construction of China-ASEAN FTA. Chen Deming said that China-ASEAN FTA will be established in the beginning of next year as scheduled. This will be one of the largest FTAs in the world, which can benefit 1.9 billion people and will bring China-ASEAN partner relationship to a new level. Taking this as an opportunity, the China-ASEAN Expo this year is more practical, cooperation enhanced and exchange more extensive, which will contribute more for all the parties to coping with the international financial crisis, promoting trade and investment facilitation, and realizing win-win. |
